NOT 100% HAWAIIAN! It is a blend of different regions.
This coffee is actually pretty tasty. Nevertheless I'm rating it 1 star because I feel the marketing is egregiously and intentionally misleading. It is made to appear as if it is 100% Hawaiian coffee from the Koloa estate. In reality it is a small amount of Hawaiian-grown coffee mixed in with other regions. You may as well get your cheap store brand Hawaiian blend. My recommendation is not only avoid this product but avoid the Kauai Coffee company entirely, because they are not trustworthy.

Not 100% Hawaiin Coffee
Eh, I took a risk. This packaged coffee is not 100% Hawaiian coffee as the original product is. I originally bought this coffee in Hawaii and fell in love. I was a bit skeptical to buy this on Amazon and I was not surprised when I received this package with 100% Arabica coffee. So buyers beware and don't be fooled to think this product is original Hawaiian coffee, it isn't. Save your money and invest in the original product from the Kauai Website. It's worth it.

Not 100% Kauai'an but so what! This is one of my Top 3 "go to" coffees
UPDATE (01/10/20): I received a response on my email to the company and they were very transparent and informative about their coffee, and this is a blend containing 25% Kauai Estate grown coffee! Right in line with my expectations! Was looking for an alternative to a higher priced Maui grown Yellow Caturra blend I thought I would give this a try.I am very glad that I did as this coffee is up there in my top 3. So far I have brewed it from an Aeropress, pulled straight espresso shots, made cappucinos, and also cold brewed it for use in my nitro uKeg. It tastes amazing in all options and besides espresso I usually like to add in a little half and half into most brewed coffee but this is one of the few that I enjoy pure black from the Aeropress.Flavor notes and aroma are exactly what I would expect from a Hawaiian coffee as it has bright acidity but is not sour or bitter with floral, nutty, and sweet flavor notes that come through in the Aeropress method. It seems most of the negative reviews here stem from the coffee drinker feel duped by the packaging and marketing of Kauai Coffee Company and maybe rightfully so. I used to work for a private label coffee company and I suspect what they may be doing is using a similar mainland roaster's R&D team for cupping recipes to match the flavor notes, body, and finish of their bean. This would explain how you can get 2 lbs of this amazing stuff for $15 (subscribe and save). Most of the super high volume coffee/fast food franchises will also use multiple roasters reversing engineering the cup and will achieve consistent flavor with this process. I know some people have indicated it doesn't taste as good so maybe Kauian Coffee isn't doing this, or maybe they are and knowing it's a blend we interpret the taste different now?At any rate, I did reach out to them and they have confirmed at least that this item DOES in fact contact their Kauai grown estate bean in it as a blend with other origins. Since a lot of Hawaiian coffees like Kona are 10%, and the Maui stuff I mentioned earlier is also advertised as a blend with Papua New Guinea, I'm fine with it. I'm hoping and it would expect something like this to be more like 25%-35% Kauai bean but who knows, I do like the taste!Suggestion to the company is to disclose the origins of the blends used in addition to a roast date on the package to mitigate these complaints and be on-par with other specialty coffees. But I'm still giving it 5-stars because it is a great overall coffee for all of the different extraction methods and does have Kauai grown coffee in it!

This is NOT 100% Hawaiian Coffee
This is NOT 100% Hawaiian coffee. It is a blend and is stated so on the Kauai coffee website. The coffee comes in a different bag than what is shown on Amazon

WARNING!! Not 100% Hawaiian.
WARNING!! Not 100% Hawaiian. If you want 100% Hawaiian do NOT buy this. I ignored some of the comments that declared that since the description and picture clearly state 100% Hawaiian. What ships is not 100%.

This coffee is amazing! I have been looking for something to replace my coffee of 20 years, Starbucks Breakfast Blend. I usually make an Americano with a Barista Express. This coffee has a high-note aroma I can't quite put my finger on--almost a passion fruit. It is similar to really good breakfast blend or other arabica light-medium roast, but with an exotic kick. To make a perfectly balanced (for me) Americano/espresso, I combine these beans with Lavazzo's Super Crema. The super crema gives me the rich cream taste and full body-medium roast that supports the aromatic Kauai beans. PERFECT!

Strong but smooth; a dark coffee lovers dream
If like me, you prefer a strong, bold, robust coffee, you will love this roast. Don’t get me wrong, it is not a Starbucks bitter strong taste, but the smoothest dark roast you may have ever tasted. I continually purchase many varieties of coffee as I am done with over-priced cafe coffee and am making more coffee at home. After a trip to Kauai this past summer I visited the Kauai Coffee Plantation, it is the largest in the US. I love all their varieties but as with any bean, the dark roast is always my favorite. I was in Kona the week before visiting Kauai and I still loved the Kauai Dark Roast the best. I have purchased 100% Kona beans here on Amazon but I still prefer the Kauai brand. Smoothest dark roast with its own distinct taste. Always fresh.

This is a wonderful tasting coffee
It tastes fresh, and like the cupping shows a hint of floral. I think this will be one of the coffees that I keep on-hand to drink and share. I buy whole bean. I make 12 cups at a time and use 7 heaping scoops of coffee and it tastes perfect for my taste buds. Coffee is a hobby of mine, and I sometimes roast my own. With this coffee - no need to roast it - someone else has done it for me and it tastes wonderful.
