I decided to make my niece a macrame wall hanging for Christmas & given I had never done macrame before I watched a few videos & bought this rope based on reviews & that it had a booklet for knotting with it. I bought 2 rolls but ended up ordering a 3rd as it took that much to complete the 5.5x5ft hanging I created I had just enough to make her so ce macrame feathers for her birthday to go on it. I was quite happy with my.piece esp since it was my very 1st time attempting the craft. I found it to be quite therapeutic and fun as I learned most of the different knots were actually larger versions of the friendship bracelets I used to make as a tween with floss type thread (given that was 35 years ago I was amazed at how easily the art came back to me. Esp since I was his by a drunk driver & suffered a massive brain injury & internal organ damage causing me to be disabled when I was just 25). So give. My afore mentioned disability and the difficulty I suffer in a daily basis it took me a very long time to finish my pice I started back at thanksgiving because I was unable to eat or be in crowds due to my injuries I stayed home and began her piece. I finished literally 8 hours prior to her arrival for our gift exchange we kep it low key with only I’m ediate fami”u due to my not being able to know what’s going on if there is background noise or more than 1 convo going on so we ate (My mama fused me a small amount of what I could eat & we exchanged gifts after) the wall hanging was loved by all but esp by my niece as I had used a branch from the pines her grandpa had planted when we they bought the farm (he passed away a couple years ago)& left it looking rugged but polyurethaned the wood to preserve it which brought out the amazing color to the branch, then using 3 rolls of this I created a very good wall hanging I didn’t really have a set pattern just an idea or 2. The rope was very soft and I had only 2 sections to be broken on 1 spool out of all 3 spooks so I found that to be very amazing givien the reviews to the contrary plus I got the largest amount 220yds I think it was per spool and it took all of it to finish! So glad for 2nd day delivery thank you Amazon for saving my gift @ Christmas!!, bc I had only ordered 2 rolls to start thinking it was enough, you to the XKDOUS Co for such quality rope it all matched in color also super it’s easy to comb to fringe for feathers using a dog or horse curry combwhich makes it super fast! Now I’m back to order more to do a piece for my mama’s nEw master bedroom suite reno! Just waiting in the contractor to finish the fireplace so she can see the color and size she wants but I’ll definitely be using this company and highly recommend d it to y’all as well! Super nice strong quality cotton rope I got the exact size and amount listed and while I didn’t use the booklet much as I had viewed several YouTube videos I did find it was quite correct and easy to view the different knitting techniques I did use it to determine how to do the opposite or mirror image of the same knot on one section. Also would say no matter what you are estimating for your piece it never hurts to order atleast 100 yds extra just in case of emergency! (I know it’s not a gorgeous piece but it was my first attempt at macrame ever!)

This cord is soft and easy to work with. Beginner friendly. I have bought a lot of spools and have only had one spool that was not a continuous chord. If you pattern is more suited to a firm chord that is stiffer, then this chord is not the best choice. I have used for wall hangings, curtains, plant hangars and straps for yoga mats as examples

I was really impressed with this cord. It is the softest I have worked with so far. My hands get really dry when the weather changes and this cord didn't irritate them at all. I also like the amount of cord on the spool. I don't feel like I have to plan exactly how much I need which leaves more room for creativity.

The batch I got didn’t dye very well not sure if this is a batch issue or normal. Have more coming so we will see

This rope was used to re-rope a colonial reproduction snare drum. The rope ties easily. The knots can be undone without fraying the rope. It stretches, which should not matter to macramé crafters. It is best to wrap the end when working with this as it will fray. To do this roping job required some fancy knotting and the rope produced uniform, attractive knots very easily.

I like how inexpensive this cord is and how easy it is to dye it. I dyed this project with Easter egg dye kits.

XKDOUS is my go to for all 3 twist natural cord. The cord is an absolute perfect cord for all projects. It’s soft but yet it’s very sturdy so it maintains the look your looking for. Some cord is just too loose. It’s tightly woven and so easy to work with. I highly recommend this cord above all others.

I have tried other cord from hobby lobby and this is 1000% better. Excellent quality and soft!! It also brushes out easy and is beautiful! I will never buy cord from anywhere else.

I was a bit disappointed when I brushed out the ends of one of my plant hangers to realize this cord is not only a bit difficult to fringe but also has a stiffness that isnt as nice to touch as previous cords I've used. It uses very fine fibers so you do get a very full fringe but I personally prefer something softer.This cord also has a bit of an orange undertone. Its not exactly noticeable on its own, but when placed next to previous things I've made that are also supposed to be unbleached/natural cotton, this one definitely stood out as darker. I also dyed a project with some indigo dye and there is some strange orange coloring around where the blue dye ends. Again, this isn't super noticeable when just looking at the cord itself. TLDR; Its decent for a cheaper cord and if you dont want much of a fringe but definitely not my favorite cord.

The rope/cord comes on a nice little roll which makes it super easy to measure out pieces without them getting tangles. The quality of the rope itself is really good, and so far no fraying or unraveling. Definitely a good buy.

I am very impressed about the fast shipping it arrive a week early, that is positive. I was very excited and started my project same day. Sadly after cutting and working the first few knots I thought something is not right, so I meassured my cord and I did get 6mm not 4mm and that now gives me some trouble since my hole project does not work out and I need to go and get more cord hoping for the same size to make up for the length I already had cut from the spool. So, YES this makes me feel very disappointed, since I now have to wait a while to get new cord and another expense that could had been avoided, delaying my so badly needed project a few more weeks till new cord arrives. I should have meassure the thickness first, but I trusted that they are able to send what was ordered and not something different.

I haven't macrame'd before I started ordering this so as a first time in this craft I was delighted to find the size and supply on this roll! I love giving it a little squish to feel how dense the roll was with this lovely macrame rope? String? I'm new I don't know ... Cord! But soft cord. I'm enjoying my use I will add pictures of some of what I have completed also for reference later 👌 great value for the money. Lots enough to make a couple projects! Thank you!
