Best yogurt I've ever had
I have never liked unsweetened yogurts before, but I hate looking at the labels and seeing how much sugar is added. I tried this yogurt for the first time tonight and it knocks the socks off any yogurt I've ever eaten before. It's super fresh tasting, as though someone just collected the milk - definitely a different taste than non-grass fed cow milk. The aroma is lovely. It's tart but delicious and light and full bodied all at the same time. The consistency was also very nice - some cream at the top and the rest more like homemade yogurt. It's 100% organic, and I feel great after eating it. I will never buy another brand of yogurt again. Totally sold.

This is absolutely disgusting
I like plain yogurt. I like whole milk yogurt. I like stony field grass fed whole milk yogurt. But the taste of this yogurt, for some reason, is revolting. I didn’t buy on Amazon, but was googling to see if anyone else thought it was so bad—and maybe had an explanation. The negative reviews are spot on.

Real pure food with no added weird stuff to make you sick
I don't write reviews but I had to share with anyone that takes health seriouslyI finally found a real and pure yogurt and this is as good as it gets, grass fed, whole milk with no funky additives. It's delicious, creamy, not too tart.Years ago I made my own homemade yogurt and this is the exact consistency you get a little watery and not overly thick. The reason is that whey (the watery stuff) is a product of the natural yogurt making process and it separates in this yogurt because Maple Hill doesn't use weird thickeners or additives like most other manufactures do to keep it homogeneous. These secret additives (carrageenan etc) can cause serious inflamation, UC, and other stomach issues. So while these additives may make the yogurt thicker and look prettier they can make you sick. Look it up it's true.Because of these added ingredients don't have to be listed on the label I had to stop eating all dairy, even making homemade yogurt because carrageenan was being added to milk so it wasn't safe for me. Manufactures can sneak it into anything. So after years of avoiding all dairy products because I couldn't trust something wouldn't be added that could end with me being seriously ill I found Maple Hill and I am thrilled.I go out of my way to buy this yogurt and I don't mind paying more. My only wish is that my Whole foods stocked Maple Hill milk so I could go back to having lattes instead of black espresso.Maple Hill, thank you for having integrity and making a healthy health food.

Have a drink of sour milk. No thanks.
In a quest for healthier food options, I really wanted to like this yogurt. Unfortunately this one is a clunker. Compared to other whole milk cream on top yogurts, this one is watery in consistency and flavor. It is literally no thicker than buttermilk, and has an awful sour off-taste. Do yourself a favor and skip this brand. It is poor enough that I’m going to pour it down the drain. Yes, it’s that thin.

Amazingly fresh taste. Pleasant aroma. Not sour tasting.
For plain yogurt, excellent. This is not Greek yogurt so it is more liquid than Greek yogurt. It is whole milk and live cultures.Contrary to another comment, it has no tapioca or pectin. Those additives are used by sellers of Greek yogurt to thicken the yogurt up cheaply, rather than strain the yogurt properly.I have never opened plain yogurt that had a pleasant smell before. Most smell sour.Like any milk that is not homogenized, it needs to be stirred as the cream sits on the top layer. Worth the effort. The protein number is low. Not sure why.A definite 5 star rating. I bought mine at Whole Foods. The fresh taste was amazing.I also use this yogurt as a buttermilk substitute for making omelets. It’s is a cross between a liquid and a regular yogurt and easily stirs into eggs and other baking products. I was wasting too much buttermilk by buying it separately and not using it fast enough.I avoid the cream on top yogurt as the lumps don’t blend well in cooking.

full of tapioca
not good. I did not read label carefully but I grabbed a few one day at whole foods . I have tried other brand which I liked a lot better that were just 100% milk grass fed milk and probiotic cultures. I study Ayurveda and I do not want to mix tapioca in my yogurt to make it thicker... The body digests it differently thank just plain yogurt. Tapioca will lead to weight gain. Im going to try to finds Nancy's or Stoneyfield or other brand of 100% grass fed that is just plain yogurt.

Closest to homemade <3
My mom makes the best yogurt whenever I come home for a visit and this is the closest to 'homemade' that I can find. If you're used to eating yogurts made with lots of additives and thickeners, like yoplait, you may be surprised to find that the texture is a lot thinner than you're used to but this is exactly how homemade, unstrained yogurt is supposed to be like. If you want a thicker yogurt, Maple Hill does make a Greek version as well that's also really good but I just love the tart, tangy, cool and refreshing taste of their regular plain yogurt.

The vanilla is my fav
The vanilla version is my favorite yogurt of all time. I spent a few months trying out all the different new yogurt options at my grocery store and I realized it always takes a few days to get used to a new yogurt when you are used to a certain flavor, so everyone saying that this is horrible just didn’t get past that hump of adjustment. This was a very unusual flavor unlike the rest I tried but I found the vanilla version to be my new favorite yogurt and every other yogurt is now disappointing. It’s thinner than most other yogurts (unless you get the Greek yogurt version) which I love because I eat it with Muesli or granola and fruit and it’s perfectly runny for that. Highly recommend!
