I bought three kites of varying sizes for my grandson before going to the beach. But the vacation got busy and we never got to use them in what would have been the ideal situation. When we got back home, however, we went to a local park to give them a try. We let him use the largest kite, which he was able to fly but which tugged at him so strongly that he felt it might be pulled out of his hands. (He's about 4 feet tall, 50 pounds.) This rainbow kite was more comfortable for him, but it was my husband who flew it the longest! It was not a windy day, but there was no problem launching the kit or keeping it going. Looking forward to trying it on a day when we have some breezes.

While this kite was a gift for my daughter, I can't lie and say I didn't secretly want to fly it myself.Construction: The kite is very durable, and took several beatings as the wind simply died and the kite raced toward the ground. The stretcher (rod that goes across the top third of the kite to keep rigidity) never once popped out. I honestly thought it would, but no. Not unless you wanted to disassemble it.Performance: Kite flew like a bat out of hell. THis is not a stunt kite by any means, but with a little getting used to, it was quite easy to manipulate the kite's flight. Instantly I was having fun.The pouch it comes in is rugged and kite is easy to assemble and dissassemble. Totally worth the money.

We love this kite. My four-year old daughter and I have been flying it all over the place in all types of wind and it works great and easy to fly up to about 1,000'. We got it stuck in a tree; it spent two days there and then I spent about an hour trying to snag it with a long-handled rake before I finally got it down. I was pretty sure it was going to be torn to shreds, but I was very happy to see that it sustained no damage at all.

We flew this kite at the beach last week. SO EASY. It basically took off by itself and just kept going. We had it up really high and didn't go any higher because of the time involved in getting it back down. So well made and a great buy. Great quality and arrived in a packing box that protected it totally from bending or breaking. Arrived in perfect condition. We used 50# line which we also bought on Amazon.

I mistakenly bought this through the one-click process when I was browsing kites. I have put off buying a kite at present but I checked it out, and it appears very strong. I had to open the box to put a copy of the return of the return invoice inside.
