Definitely better than the Netflix series, a lot more in the books. Books are better than the movie and this didn’t disappoint.

After watching Sweet Magnolias on Netflix I was looking forward to reading the books. The series vs the book is quite different but I enjoyed the book as much as the series. Great read.

This is a cute read. Plain and simple. It's funny, sweet and takes you away from the madness that is 2020. It's a simple time in Serenity, and you want to be there. I find it relaxing and light-hearted. I don't want a book right now that is too deep, dark or twisty. This is as simple as the show. Enjoy!

I watched the first season of Sweet Magnolias on Netflix and really enjoyed it, but a second season isn't forthcoming yet, so I decided to get the books. I've read Stealing Home as well. There are some major deviations from the books, but I think both the show and the books are great. Ms. Woods is an engrossing storyteller, and a prolific one. I especially liked the mother/daughter tie-in with eating disorders in this story. Very real. It almost could have been a YA novel, but the mature themes kept it from being too juvenile. I look forward to continuing on with the Sweet Magnolias books. Anxious to follow Helen's story next!

I loved this series! I like that this is a box set. I was able to immediately move on to book 2 once I finished book 1. I loved book 1(Stealing Home). I watched the series Sweet Magnus on Netflix and loved it I had to read the series. Books 1 and 2 are both represented in the series. Of course there are things that happened in the show that didn't happen in books 1 or 2 and vice versa. I love the characters most of all! I love their bond and relationship and seeing it come to life in the pages of these books are amazing!!

So realistic and believable. Like living next door to the people. I love, love, love, these wonderful people that bring all the emotions into play. This author is truly a story teller without all the sex and disgusting language that most authors seem to use to sell their stories that otherwise would not be bought because the story-line is so poorly imagined. Sweet Magnolias Volume 1 is truly delightful to read. Could hardly put it down. I will read all of Ms. Woods novels.

I like that you can buy the books in a set because it's cheaper that way. They books weren't as great though as I was hoping. I only read these and had no desire to read the rest of the series.

Comprei os 2 primeiros livros da série, por causa da versão passada na Netflix. O que eu gostei das histórias: mulheres reais (por voltas dos seus 40 anos), problemas reais, amizade muito forte entre elas.O que não gostei, apesar de gostar de livros que se passam em cidades pqnas e comunidade que se ajuda: fofoca. O primeiro livro, só gira em torno do que a cidade vai falar da personagem principal namorando um homem 10 anos mais novo. Achei isso meio absurdo.O segundo livro, uma mulher de 40 anos, que tem uma filha com distúrbio alimentar, que está com prolema de saúde, ser teimosa e não encarar um médico...Enfim, uma leitura leve e rápida.

It's an enjoyable history, as all books written by Sherryl Woods. Love it!!!
