This little black light is a must have. I initially bought the flashlight for my son's science fair project and he earned 5th place. He made glowing flowers and needed a black light to showcase the fluorescent ink that was absorbed by the flowers. This light was the perfect experiment tool. It is compact and lightweight but works really well. It was also pretty cool to see other objects that glow in the dark under black light. I'll be taking this flashlight with me whenever I go on vacation...especially if I'm staying in a hotel as it detects stains that are not seen by the naked eye. I highly recommend this product for its value, price, and functionality.

It's not very bright with a fully charged AA battery, but if you use it in the dark it works just fine. The casing is the same generic Chinese mini flashlight model that you'll usually find a regular LED inside. However, with that said, I have a total of four mini flashlights with this casing including this one and they all work pretty well and none of them have broken so far. The zoom function is great since these are low power and only work with AA batteries. Normally these wouldn't be able to light up anything over 10' away, but because of the zoom function they're effective up to about 100' if not more. This blacklight is significantly dimmer than the flashlight versions though and like I said it only really works decently in the dark or up extremely close. I seems to be the most effective when zoomed in somewhere towards the middle and when it's zoomed all the way in it seems too concentrated to notice much. The pocket clasp can be easily removed with a small hex screwdriver.Not a whole lot more I can think to say about it. It's a blacklight. It makes anything with fluorescent molecules glow including many organic materials and dried liquids. For $7 it's what I expected, but if you want to search anything large scale you'd be better off with something bigger with more than one LED.

Amazingly bright, and only needs one AA battery. It's small enough to fit in your pocket although it has a clip for hanging on a belt or outside a pocket. However, I'm a pharmacist using it to detect forged and fraudulent prescription hard copies and it works like a charm. It's small enough to sit by my computer in the pharmacy and not be obstructive. My only gripe is that the exterior styling of the flashlight handle is very..."tactical" looking and uncessary; I would have been happy with a plain handle, but I knew what I was buying and am happy with it anyway. I'm buying two more for two other pharmacies I work in.

I have mixed feelings about this flashlight. My main reason for buying this was to look for night bugs and worms that have been eating the leaves on my plants. This did absolutely nothing in illuminating any insects. Geckos, roaches, centipedes, worms all did not "glow" so I had a hard time spotting these insects. I also tried it on my pet's pee pad and that didn't stand out either. The beam isn't very strong but I guess it does light up the areas with enough power. On the positive side, it does illuminate nasty stains on the sink and towel bowls. I instantly used a germicide cloth to wipe and clean the areas. When I re-shined the area, it looked much better. It also does illuminate fibers on the floor, woohoo! Lol! There is a slider in the front end of the flashlight to reduce the lighted areas and beam gets concentrated into a smaller area. This also makes the lighting brighter. For my needs, this flashlight is okay at best for me.

Works as expected, it does not come with the battery (1 AA Battery). It has a lens that allows you to focus on what you want or you can spread the coverage. It feels durable and strong. Its very bright.

We have a training resistant puppy and I got this to see the damage of dog urine on the carpets. I almost wish I had not seen how badly our carpets have been stained. The ultraviolet light makes the stains very clearly visible. The flashlight looks very "tactical" in a military style, lightweight but solid. Just one AA battery is needed. Would have been perfect if it were USB rechargeable, but still pretty good. If you really want to see the evidence, this will definitely do the job.

This UV flashlight is surprisingly sturdy! I’m using to check if my cats have vomited/pee on the carpet, it’s also great for validating money! I have small cash flow for my business so it’s a must have tool for double security. I’m also very concerned about hotel hygiene so this would be perfect to bring to check on the pillow cases and bed sheets!

the blacklight wasn't as bright as another model i ordered that has since gone away. when adjusting the beam the end piece falls off. not very impressed, but if you want it for very limited use for not much money, it's worth the purchase. if using it often for your occupation consider finding another model.
