A great boot at a great price
I am normally around size 9 to 10 shoe. I bought a size 11 boot, which fits me very well. I had absolutely NO problems with blisters. As you can see from the photos, I wore these boots in snowy conditions in Scotland and my feet were perfectly warm with double socks. I really liked the "cinch" lace hook which basically holds the lace under tension so that you can get a tight fit when lacing up. However, after 60km of walking over 3 days, my one ankle was tender (nothing to do with the boot I don't think - more my prominent ankle bone!), I loosened up the top part of the boot and still had no issues with movement of my heel in the boot. So a big win from that perspective. They were also totally waterproof, even when I walked into streams etc. I have now done around 40 hours of walking in them and still perfectly waterproof. The water just beads off the boot. I suspect this will eventually wear off but for now, it works very well. The only issue I had was that they felt hard underfoot. The soles of my feet felt rather battered by the end of the 3rd day. I did put in my own insoles (nothing fancy - just a set I had with me) that may have helped, but I do think I will invest in some decent insoles before my next big outing. There isn't much cushioning in the boot sole. All in all, I am pretty happy with these boots and they certainly offer great value for money. I give them 4 out of 5 (losing 1 star due to the underfoot comfort).

No compromise hiking shoe
Summary:These are the best hiking shoes I've had, completely waterproof, comfortable, grippy and they keep your foot and ankle very secure.Fit:True to size, also I struggle with ankle injury and these basically enable me to hike, they keep joint secure, yet mobile enough to walk comfortable. They are not very flexible - but that's a feature, they are suitable for crampons.Sole:Vibram sole is very grippy and number of times I was amazed how well it kept me on the track, in fact few times I expected to slip and they kept me upright!Waterproof:Waterproof is complete, not just grass, but you can dunk them in the water and stay dry - I tested this not just in action but also in the bucket when cleaning shoes.Comfort:Blisterfree guarantee just works - there's not a single area which would rub or chuff, even when I lace very tight to keep my ankle safe.Lacing:Easy and secure, quick to lace and unlace, once again can't stress enough how secure ankle feels in these.Recommended!

Great boots
Only worn them around the house so far but very comfortable and build quality seems good. Had Salewa boots before and I know they suit my feet

Half size smaller than most boots
Took a risk online purely due to how cheap these were compared with specialist walking shops. My feet are too big for most standard shops e.g Decathalon so don't have many options for boots.Fit - half a size smaller than the UK size (check the EU size against your normal boots). Have a dual footbed with removable inserts. I'm still not convinced this is good. Without the insert the fit feels great but I can't lace tight enough to stop my heels lifting out. Add the 2nd insert and perfect fit for my foot but not as much support on instep or heel as this space has been filled. If this helps they fit more like climbing boots then walking boots. But once bedded in very good.Construction is excellent.Durability seems fine for nowWaterproofing is very good so far with no leaks.Criticisms- I need a better footed but that's my foot shape. A bit tighter than I would like but have stretched fine with wear. As a Goretex type boot this was a safer risk as they all stretch a bit. Would have not risked the fit with a leather boot.Overall I'm really impressed with what you get for value for money versus performance. If you have normal width or narrow feet I would recommend nothing else. For me, my feet are massive flipper like objects so a bit more tinkering with the footed is needed to make them perfect

Quality boots
Got boots 0.5 size up , I usually wear UK 9.5 but bought UK 10 on previous buyers advice. Perfect fit . Well constructed boots with hi spec materials. Very similar to early Scarpa Rebel lite boots that I wore to destruction in the Scottish mountains. Got these to replace newer model Scarpa Ribelle HDCL which didn’t suit my foot shape. The Salewa boot is a good fit with customisation possible with different footbed options. It has a great Vibram sole for precision rock climbing/scrambling. The tread pattern and heel design are adequate for loose scree and soft muddy ground and snow. Crampon compatibility and light weight combined with Gore-Tex lining make for an excellent boot for Scottish winter outings. Will be buying these again .

Good customisable fit, slightly larger volume compared to Rapace boot
after approx.100 miles, these are very comfy boots, however the right foot is no longer water tight! Very disappointing, I’ve owned Meindl and Scarpa over the years and neither of these brands have ever let me downFurther update, after contacting Salewa directly regarding regarding the leaking boots, I got the following response:‘Please take note that the waterproofing membrane is not produced by Salewa, therefore leakage problems are not always due to a manufacturing defect. For further information on this, please contact the membrane manufacturer directly through the following link:’I’m astounded that Salewa will not stand by the product quality and hide behind or blame materials manufactured by their suppliers! Having worn Meindl and Scarpa for many years and receiving fantastic customer support when needed I will be avoiding this manufacturer of ‘mountain footwear’ as clearly they do not value their customers.

Fantastic
For the first few days, my feet were uncomfortable and even bloody. Then these shoes started to settle and I love them, they are amazing, and the grip may have saved me from injury a few times. Best shoes I've ever had and cheap for the quality I think
