The treading is soft enough that it sealed without the need for tape. And, it was firm enough that it was difficult to screw on. It was pretty easy to install and has not leaked in the month since I installed it outdoors.

Quality fitting, works well for 5/16 tubing for a DIY keg & carboy washer.

I used this item with the Mystic Rainwater Collection: Oatey 14209 Mystic Rainwater Collection System The barbed end fits the output hose perfectly. I connected this to a pipe fitting, then to a 55 gallon drum. The drum acts as a catch basin before I pump water over through a filter to a 350 gallon tank. The tank feeds my off grid hunting camp with shower, dish and flushing water.

I ordered the 1 1/2" NPT x 1 1/2" hose barb and received 1 1/4" NPT. Evidently he supplier is not aware that a 1 1/2 NPT male is 1.90 OD.These are good quality but I suggest noting the supplier to fulfill with the right parts or you may be required to purchase adapter fittings as I did.

Works and fits what I needed it for not much more I can say other than the threads fit 3/4" pipe threads and the barb fits a 1/4" ID hose

These fittings are exactly as described. I installed it into a salt water tank drain and they have held up just fine. Installed easily and without any issues.
