JTL B-900 9'0" Wide Free Standing Background Support System.

I have worked for a studio for over twelve years in the past doing weddings, portraits, and band shots among other photography. I have been a photographer for over 40 years and have used many stands; Strobinar, Calumet and Manfrotto, to name a few.This JTL product is on par with them. Nicely made (in the USA) and nice features. Air cushined stands, black gloss finish, the ability to move the stand up and down within the tripod legs to give a grounded centering if needed. The adjustments are lever action instead of knob tightenings, and there is a tool for adjusting them tighter or looser to preference.The crossbars are snug. As they are aluminum, using a dry lube with them will help allong the way.I am using 10 ft. by 20 ft. muslin and not experiencing any instability so far.They also include a compartmentalised zippered bag that has two side compartments for the stands, and elastic straps for four crossbar sections(this version only has three, but I could buy a fourth if needed).Above all else, it is light weight, coming in at thirteen pounds shipping weight. All in all, a very well thought out and manufactured product.To other reviewers who had problems with breakage, the parts that are plastic are thick enough. Just do not overtightn any of them. This can be said of any of the above mentioned stands. Snugged is all you need.

This background frame is well constructed and easy to use. The provided case is designed to efficiently store and transport the frame. The uprights raise backdrops up to 8 feet tall, with adjustable friction locks (tool included). This is an excellent option for professional and amateur photographs on the move. If your subjects are on the move, like dancers, you may want to consider the 12 foot wide model of this frame.

I wasnt too sure about buying this online but it is built great, not heavy, good construction and the caring bag has compartments for the stands and the rods, which keeps everything very organized. The bag is light gray, i would have prefered a black one to keep it looking clean but that really isnt a huge concern. Completely happy with this purchase.
